Borussia chief denies Goetze wants out
Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke has moved to deny reports that star player Mario Goetze wants to leave the club.
The 19-year-old is heavily linked with a move to a bigger club, and he failed to rule out a summer exit in his interview to Sport Bild.
However, Borussia Dortmund official Hans-Joachim Watzke says that Goetze will not be sold.
“Mario feels extremely good with us. We have built a very good relationship with him and his adviser Volker Struth,” Watzke told Bild.
“If something had changed in his attitude towards us, then Mario would have discussed it with us.”
Watzke then reminded interested clubs that the player was under contract and that he could only leave with their permission.
“The fact is that Mario has a contract with us until 2014. Nothing can happen without our consent.”
Genoa president reveals January targets
Genoa president Enrico Preziosi says he will try to sign at least one Juventus player in January.
The Rossoblu are looking for another striker to pair with Rodrigo Palacio and Preziosi reveals that Amauri and Quagliarella are their top targets.
“Amauri and Quagliarella are two attackers who I like and who I am interested in,” Preziosi told Il Corriere dello Sport.
“We have to be alert in January because we can’t afford to make any mistakes as we want to improve on last season.”
Juventus are keen on selling Amauri in January as they want to avoid losing him for free at the end of the season, whereas Quagliarella could also be allowed to leave after finding himself on the fringes under Antonio Conte.
Preziosi also revealed that he had tried to sign Alberto Gilardinoin the summer.
“I made Fiorentina an offer for €10m, plus bonuses, for Alberto Gilardino. They turned it down.”
Liverpool target hints at PSG move
Sochaux midfielder Ryad Boudebouz reveals that he would be interested in a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Following heavy summer spending, Paris Saint-Germain are looking to further reinforce the squad in January and they are eager to sign at least one player from North Africa.
After showing interest in Adel Taarabt, Mehdi Benatia and Marouane Chamakh, the Saints are now keen on Sochaux midfielder Ryad Boudebouz.
The 21-year-old is looking to leave les Lionceaux for a bigger club, with several European giants interested in his signature.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Lyon are all keeping tabs on the Algerian, and now PSG have joined the race as well.
After hearing of interest from PSG, Boudebouz admits that he would like to be the first Maghreb player after quite a while at Parc des Princes.
“PSG, why not? The idea of succeeding a player like Mustapha Dahleb is tempting,” Boudebouz told Le Parisien.
